Some fedback and our responses
We have asked for feedback from those who have purchased an Incogno, have registered but not purchased an incogno and from comments in various forums.
We would like to share some of this feedback (positive and negative) to help you decide if Incogno is for you.
Our responses are in red. (In some cases we have made minor amendments to the feedback for readability)

General feedback on Incogno:

“Having recently split from a guy who messed me around (poetic licence... was rather more explicit!) my confidence was very low and I have enjoyed the freedom internet dating gives me. Love and friends has a real community feel and I can be who ever I want to be. I hope using your incogno service will allow me to be more adventurous in talking on the phone as Love and Friends has helped me chat online."

Incogno: One of the main reasons for starting Incogno was to help people be more proactive in their social interactions yet remain safe.

“The whole point of internet dating is it’s on the net - you chat on that, why would you want to incur call charges on your phone when the 'net is free? I really enjoy sending messages and emails - why waste money on phone calls when they are on screen?"

Incogno: Incogno is not designed to replace messaging or emails nor to replace giving out your phone to those you know and trust. It is designed for that initial contact – when you want to talk to someone; to get to know them better; maybe just to flirt or maybe to organize a meeting. Many people will rather meet in a pub than talk on the phone. Hopefully incogno will help people to talk first.

Incogno is not a premium number. Yes, it does cost more than a mobile call but this is because you can forward your calls to any phone of your choice. We would love to make the call charges cheaper... but the rate is set by the telecoms companies. To reduce the rate we would have to reduce the functionality dramatically (ie: to not include calls to mobile phones).

“The main issue with this type of dating is that people make decisions based on a photo and words. I am a BBW and I feel my true self doesn't get across. Hopefully I will be able to use your thing to talk to people on the phone and let my personality come through..."

Incogno: We believe everyone should be careful who they give their personal details to. We at Incogno are great fans of internet dating, chat rooms and the freedom of the internet. But, unfortunately, there are Serial Daters and “undesirables” using the internet, but luckily these are the exception, not the rule.

Incogno is not for everyone and we do not want to make people afraid use internet dating. We feel that by offering a service such as Incogno then people with concerns over safety have another tool to use to get the most of of dating online.

“I bought an Incogno when I first saw it and I have been handing it out to everyone I chat to. Not everyone likes a women to be forward (some have given me their numbers to call instead) but at least your number has made me more confident to make the first move.

Incogno: Remember that Incogno protects you for incoming calls. You can prefix numbers with 141 to hide your number on calls you make. Also note, you cannot "hide" your number when you send a text message!!!!

“This is a complete rip-off. 070 numbers are expensive. Why should I make people pay loads of money to call. You are having a laff.

Incogno: 070 numbers are more expensive than a mobile call and they will not be included on "free call" allocations. However, the flexibility, safety and features an Incogno gives you should be taken into consideration. We are not trying to hide the cost of an Incogno but personally, if someone was wanting to get to know me better then they should be prepared to make every effort. The cost of a call is a hell of a lot cheaper than meeting them in person!
